Crude Oil Analysis

Accurate and repeatable analysis of crude oil and condensate samples is critical for reservoir monitoring, process optimisation and fiscal allocation. Inaccurate analysis may result in a loss of production, ineffective process, off-spec pipeline discharge or exported cargos resulting in severe penalties or devaluation of the crude.

This two day course provides in-depth training using relevant analytical International Standards in conjunction with industry leading Laboratory Training notes and Laboratory Procedures produced by NuLab technical authors.

Training is carried out within the NuLab Laboratory Training Centre to demonstrate the theory and practical application of laboratory techniques associated with Karl Fischer, BS&W by Centrifuge, Density by Hydrometer and Digital Densitometer, Salt Content, H2S in Crude, Sand Content and Reid Vapour Pressure.

The importance of correct homogenisation and subsampling along with instrument set up, calibration, maintenance and problem solving form a key part of this course.
